Rose Elegance

Seeing so many beautiful rose cards in blog land and on various galleries, I was inspired to look through my own collection of rose stamps. I've also been playing along with various papers and the floating ink technique.

For those not familiar with the technique, you can see a fantastic tutorial
HERE.

The paper that has worked best for me with this technique is Cryogen White from The Paper Cut . However, for this rose, I actually used Shimmer, which also worked okay.

I used my Nesties to cut a circle from the same shimmer paper and a scallop circle with Bling card stock from Bazzill.

It's an easy card, but I am quite pleased with the simplicity and the elegance of it.

As you probably guessed, you can look forward to seeing several more rose cards over the next few days. No thorns though, I promise!

What a beauty, Isabelle! I really like how you used the shimmer paper for the circle behind the rose. It's simple, but very elegant.

I saw that technique too - I'll have to dig around for what I have because this card is simple but oh so elegant! Lovely... PS. Found you via the M. Day blog hop. :)
