Hedge Delivery!

As is tradition at my house every year, I am running late making my Christmas cards once again. Thus, Hedgie won't be delivering my cards any time soon, LOL.

Another Penguin Chick

Here's another penguin from the lot of digital penguin images, I recently purchased at Angels Landing.

I coloured him with Primsacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Before cutting out the scalloped rectangle with a Nestabitlies Die, I embossed the edges with a sparkling embossing powder. The same was done on a scrap piece of paper before I punched out the Martha Stewart snowflake. Lots of sparkle that won't rub off. A bit of glamour was added to the penguin's hat with a Stardust Clear Glittering Pen from Sakura and the blue gems are flat stickers from Stampendous. I like that they do not add any bulk and make for easy mailing. The polka dotted card is from the Dollar spot at Micheal's.

Binky Baby (and NEW STAMPS)

I loooove making baby cards because it's okay to be all whimsical, soft and sweet. However, for this card, I tried to remain a bit more neutral. Do you think my attempt was successful? In the end, it's still a sweet baby card, isn't it?

Ice Dance

As if I did not already buy enough stamps, I am now also finding more and more adorable Digi stamps, too. :)

I printed this one out on Georgia Pacific cardstock and coloured it partially with Copics and partially with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The only thing I added was a bit of Stickles Glitter Glue to enhance the skate line.

The background was embossed with a new Snowflake Embossing Folder from The Art of Craft in the UK.

The Digital Stamp is available from artist Philomena (Phindy) O'Neill at Phindy's Place

Get Up, Stand Up!

You would never know it looking at me now, but I was quite the Reggea fan in my younger days, LOL.

'Dante's Drum' is a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil Shop and he was simply too sweet for me too pass up.

This was my first attempt at colouring dark skin tone and I used my Copic markers to do it. Dante's dreads, the rasta hat and the peace sign were also done with Copics. For everything else, I used my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Isn't Dante the perfect image for using brighter colours?

Incidentally, Mo is offering a few beautiful FREE images over at Paper Craft Planet. Just go sign up at Mo's Digital Pencil, where you'll find an inspirational card gallery and so much more!
