Cards for Heroes' mission is 'to support our nation’s armed forces by sending blank (handmade) greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them'.
Personally, I very much like the idea of supporting a good cause with my creations and Cards for Heroes make this very easy. You can send one card, or a hundred. Instructions on how to get involved can be found here.
In the meantime, I'd like to share with you my first contribution to the cause.
Because there are no patriotic stamps in my collection, I simply adhered to the red, white and blue theme for this weekend's Blog Hop. The stamp is 1448F - Garden Gossip by Penny Black.
If you are just starting out on this 'hop', I suggest you begin at the very top at Cards for Heroes. Otherwise, please take some time to CONTINUE on to ANGI's BLOG and then look through your own stash of cards this Memorial Day. I am absolutely positive that we all have a card or two that would just make a soldier's day! :)
