Today is my Dad's 82 Birthday. Shortly after his 81st, he was diagnosed with colon cancer and in preparation of surgery, he had to endure chemo and radiation treatments. Surgery to remove the cancer was successful and he had follow up surgery last October, which meant two more weeks in hospital. However, he seems to be recovering very well and we are certain his positive attitude helped tremendously.
This year, Julia (my niece) made a card for her granddad while she was here. The rest of us only had to sign and mail it out. Easy, LOL!
I know my dad loved the card his granddaughter made. How could he not?
