Change of Pace

My favourite stamping style is simple, with a coloured image, usually. In my years of stamping I have found a groove and realized that I am not one for new techniques.

Hero Arts' 'reversed solid images' satisfy my 'need' to colour, as well as a quick and simple style.

For my card I used CG270 - Flower Bird Garden. Embossed in white on watercolour paper, then coloured with my peerless water colours. For the background I used the Country & Flowering Foliage Embossing Folder (657112) from Sizzix.

It kinda looks like silk painting. Not much of a different technique, maybe, but I certainly like the look.

What's your favourite style?

Wishing you many happy stamping hours! Isabelle

Wow Isabelle - this is GORGEOUS!! What a great example of how to use those "reverse" stamps. I really like the embossing too! So happy to see you getting crafty again! :)

I have been wondering how to use these stamps! Thanks for the idea. <3 Your card is stunning-can't wait to try the technique!

i love this, isabelle! it's beautiful! the colours are so bright and spring-like and coloured beautifully. my style is mostly clean and simple for the same reason; i want the image to be my focal point but lately, i've been playing with papers. :)

This is fantastic! I never think to buy images that are mostly inked but your idea of embossing and colouring in what's left is fabulous!
