Usually, we don't buy each other much on our Anniversary (I can't wait for that one day to get presents, can I?) But this year, my sweet husband surprised me with a special delivery that arrived yesterday. Knowing how much I love renowned Dutch nature artist Marjolein Bastin, he sent me this hand-painted, sculpted resin bunny with the planter/vase. It also comes with a bunch of flowers that he thought were ceramic. Turns out it's a real bouquet of dark lavender roses, one purple hydrangea, two purple kale and three stems of hot pink spray roses.
As much as I love to make cards, I am often at a loss for words when it comes to writing them. I so admire people who always seem to find the right words. (My friendsMonica and Dotty come to mind). William however, has a flair for writing, too. He attached a card to my gorgeous flowers that reads: 'Let's slow down and smell the roses before the number of our addresses catch up with our Anniversaries'. Obviously, he is referring to the number of times we have moved already and will again soon. He really made me laugh, as he does every single day. What more could I ask for (other than that huge, brilliantly organized stamp room where I'll never, ever run out of space)?
Well, we are off to the mountains, where I'll watch my husband do his snowboard magic on the slopes.
